It’s up to you to find your favourite beach! And to help you plan your beach day, here you’ll find an interactive map, tide times and all the practical information you need for a successful swim in Southern Brittany.

Fine sandy beaches Stretches as far as the eye can see

There are beaches that combine fine sand, endless expanses and breathtaking panoramas. Fouesnant has several of these, stretching for miles. Whether at Cap-Coz, Kermyl or along the Kerler beach, families and sunbathers alike will appreciate the softness of the sand, the quality of the water and the beauty of the unspoilt natural setting.

Secret coves Wild escapade

The coves of Beg-Meil are small, intimate bays surrounded by pine trees and rocky outcrops that look like calanques. They have a natural charm and a confidential atmosphere. Some are small and hidden, while others stretch for dozens of metres. These peaceful beaches, such as Les Oiseaux, La Roche Percée and Bot Conan, are ideal for swimming, relaxing, picnicking or kayaking. To get there, you’ll need to do a bit of walking, but the effort will be amply rewarded by breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear waters.

Family beaches For young and old

Fouesnant-les Glénan is an ideal destination for a family holiday with your feet in the water. Several family beaches, some with Blue Flag status, offer a safe, easy-to-access environment that’s perfect for children. Soft sand, supervised bathing areas, shallow waters at low tide and close proximity to amenities: everything you need for a safe day at the beach. Cap-Coz, Kerambigorn and Beg-Meil are just some of the privileged beaches where young and old can share moments of complicity to the rhythm of the tides.

Sports beaches Heading for the water and surf

Fans of surfing and sailing will find their ideal playground in Fouesnant’s watersports areas, ideal for discovery, initiation and performance. The beaches of Cap-Coz, the Beg-Meil cove and the Pointe de Mousterlin are ideal starting points for a wide range of water sports. With its dynamic and friendly nautical centre, Cap-Coz is the ideal spot to learn or improve your catamaran, paddle, kayak or windsurfing skills. At Kerambigorn, the younger members of the family – aged 8 to 17 – can take advantage of the summer holidays to get their feet wet in the sand!

Textile-free beaches Bathing in complete freedom

For those who wish to practise naturism in total discretion, Kerler beach has a dedicated area set apart in a calm and peaceful environment. Far off the beaten track, it appeals to fans of freedom and wild nature. Naturists are welcome on a 1km stretch of beach, signposted and accessible from 1 May to 31 October, from 10am until sunset.

Accessible beaches for people with reduced mobility

At Fouesnant-les Glénan, every effort is made to ensure that everyone can enjoy the sea in the best possible conditions. The Cap-Coz and Kerambigorn beaches are equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility (PRM). They have adapted facilities: access ramps, reserved parking spaces, tiralos (amphibious bathing chairs) and seahorse chairs, making it easier to access the bathing area in complete safety.

Supervised beaches Swimming in complete safety

To make sure you enjoy your swim in complete peace of mind, several beaches in Fouesnant-les Glénan are supervised during the summer season. Cap-Coz, Kerambigorn, Maner Coat Clevarec and Kerler are supervised daily in July and August, from 1.30pm to 7.30pm. These safe areas are particularly suitable for families with children. First-aid posts are set up nearby, and a system of flags provides real-time information on swimming conditions.

Labelled beaches Bathing with confidence

Fouesnant-les Glénan is proud to have four Blue Flag beaches: Cap-Coz, Maner Coat Clevarec, Kerambigorn and Kerler. This recognised label attests to the exceptional quality of the bathing water, which is regularly checked and monitored during the summer season to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors. In addition to clean water, these beaches offer services for everyone, including facilities to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility. The sustainable management of these natural areas reflects the Commune’s commitment to protecting the environment and respecting local ecosystems. Enjoy a clean, safe and accessible environment for relaxing with family or friends, in the heart of a preserved coastline.
