On horseback explore differently

Horse riding is accessible to everyone, whatever your level. Whether you’re a family, a group of friends or a solo rider, set off on a horse ride that’s just right for you: a one-hour introductory ride, a sunset ride or a half-day ride. Accompanied by qualified instructors, you’ll ride in complete safety on routes carefully selected for their beauty and tranquillity.

Fouesnant-les Glénan has several signposted horse-riding circuits, specially designed for all levels of rider. From Beg-Meil to the Mer Blanche, there are various loops that can be followed in either direction, depending on the tides. These varied itineraries allow you to take full advantage of the natural wealth of the countryside.

To preserve the beauty of the countryside and ensure that trail users live together as equestrians, a few rules must be observed when riding in Fouesnant:

• Horses are only allowed on certain marked trails.
• Respect the dunes and wetlands, which are sensitive to trampling.
• Respect foreshore access marked by markers and avoid vegetated areas.
• Keep to a single file and respect other walkers by adapting your speed.
• Horses are vehicles and you must ride on the right-hand side.
• Pick up horse droppings in urban or parking areas.

Access to beaches

Access to the beaches is strictly regulated. Access to the lower part of the beach (wet sand) is permitted, with due respect for other users. Only access via a concrete slipway is permitted on the Kerambigorn, Cleut-Rouz and Pointe de Mousterlin beaches. Access to the beaches is prohibited from 1 June to 30 September inclusive.
