The Cafés Carbone are conversations in which Claire L'Hostis and specialist speakers discuss practical solutions (cooking, DIY, gardening, etc.) to reduce our carbon footprint.
On the programme for this Café Carbone: the Norwegian pot
Come and discover the Norwegian pot, a simple and ingenious way of saving up to 70% energy when cooking! After bringing your dish to the boil for a few minutes, you place it in an insulated pot, which continues to cook slowly without any energy input.
During this workshop, the Objethèque de Cornouaille will show you how to make your own Norwegian pot, out of wood or fabric, so that you can prolong the heat of your dishes while reducing your environmental impact. Each workshop/demonstration (with a choice of wooden or fabric kettles) will take the form of a step-by-step process, showing the different stages of production: cutting, assembly, insulation, finishing, while answering participants' questions.
