It's early, but Beg Meil's shops are already open. You'll find fresh bread, the morning newspaper and freshly ground coffee – all within just 300 metres of the campsite. Situated on a former orchard at ‘windmill point’, or Beg Meil as it’s called in the Breton language, the Kervastard – accredited with the “Camping Qualité” label – is only 150m from the village’s main street and 300m from the little port of Beg Meil, where the fishermen’s’ boats are moored. Stop off at the crêperie – found on one of the hilly streets - and try one of the range of local speciality buckwheat pancakes, crepes or a big slice of Breton cake.
