Also known as the “sentier des douaniers”, the GR34 is the most seafaring of the long-distance footpaths, and also the most emblematic in Brittany. In Fouesnant, it runs along 17km of coastline, offering an incredible blend of the region’s finest features: wild coves, fine sand dunes, craggy rocks and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Not forgetting, in the distance, the Glénan archipelago with its islands and islets on the horizon.

The diversity of Fouesnant-les Glénan’s natural spaces makes it an area with many faces. The signposted footpaths are a great way to discover the local flora and fauna at your own pace, walking along sunken paths, marshes, dunes and creeks.

  • The Mousterlin marshes: total immersion between marshes, dunes and ocean.
  • Le bois de Penfoulic: a shady walk in the heart of a rich ecosystem, with part of the route accessible to all.
  • The Beg-Meil creeks: a walk high up under the pine trees, with a view of the creeks and their translucent waters below.
