Le Relec Abbey, with its 12th-century abbey church, pond and gardens, is a unique place, hidden away in the Monts d'Arrée, bordered by moorland and forests. With its serene atmosphere, it's a great place to take a stroll and discover the many activities on offer, for adults and children alike. In the reception area, you can discover the history of the abbey through an immersive visual and sound experience. It gives visitors a better understanding of the monastery and enables them to appreciate it more fully as they wander through the abbey church, the cloister ruins, the pond causeway and the vegetable garden. Concerts in the abbey church and gardens in the summer offer a new approach to the site and enrich the relationship between heritage and nature. Several protected species, including otters and bats, find food and shelter there. The grounds are open all year round free-of-charge and are delightfully peaceful, punctuated by musical events. Founded in 1132, the Abbaye du Relec comprises a large Romanesque church, the remains of a cloister, a lake, a driveway bordered with large trees, a monumental fountain and ancient gardens surrounded by moats.
