She is one of France's most admired film-makers. In almost ten films, Nicole Garcia has built up a body of work that is both demanding and popular, giving Catherine Deneuve, Nathalie Baye, Marion Cottillard, Pierre Niney, Benoît Magimel and Jean Dujardin their finest roles. Whether we remember her in the films of Resnais, Rivette, Miller or Sautet, or have more recently rediscovered her in the series Tout va bien, where she excels alongside Virginie Efira, she continues to fascinate as an actress. What an honour to welcome her to Fouesnant! At l'Archipel, she will be carrying the words of Emmanuel Carrère, who describes the passionate, romantic life of his parents in his recent book Kolkhoze (Prix Médicis 2025, already selling over 200,000 copies). After adapting L'adversaire for the cinema with Daniel Auteuil in the title role, Nicole Garcia returns to the world of this multi-platinum author, translated all over the world. A summit meeting!
