Spring Discover Fouesnant-les Glénan

With its coastal meadows in flower in the heart of the polder, its nesting birds and its breathtaking view over the ocean, the Marais de Mousterlin is a must-see in spring. The GR34 trail is particularly pleasant at this time of year, between dunes, polders and Natura 2000 areas.

In spring, the woods of Penfoulic are covered in wild flowers, young tender green leaves and the first birdsong. A peaceful walk for all the family, in the heart of a natural renaissance.

When the tide is out, spring is the perfect time to go fishing on Cap-Coz beach and in the Anse de Penfoulic. Don’t forget to comply with local regulations for responsible fishing.

Fouesnant’s country roads lined with broom and gorse are the perfect backdrop for a cycling trip. There are a number of signposted routes linking the coast, the town centre and the countryside in complete tranquillity.

Fouesnant’s markets are taking on a springtime flavour! From April onwards, the stalls are filled with crunchy asparagus, fragrant strawberries, aromatic herbs and farmhouse cheeses… All the ingredients for a 100% local picnic, or simply a feast of Breton flavours.

From April and the spring holidays onwards, a number of shipping companies set sail for the Glénan Islands. Turquoise waters, white beaches, tranquillity… and, as a bonus, perhaps the famous wild narcissus, endemic to the archipelago.

The shops open their doors to welcome you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up a unique item or a local souvenir.
