The French Blood Establishment is organising a blood drive in Pleuven, at the Salle Lannurien, on Friday 25 September 2026, from 2.20 pm to 6.50 pm, in collaboration with the Fouesnant and Surrounding Areas Voluntary Blood Donation Association. Anyone wishing to give blood can book an appointment online (even at the last minute) at dondesang.efs.sante.fr (60 time slots available) or call 02 23 22 53 97. To give blood, you must be aged 18 or over; donations are accepted up to the age of 70, and you must weigh at least 50 kg and be in good health. The demand for whole blood remains high: 600 donations are needed every day in Brittany, and 10,000 across France, to treat patients; demand is also constant, regardless of the month or season. One million patients are treated every year thanks to donations of blood, plasma and platelets. One blood donation saves three lives!
