Description
Élodie Jaffré and Awena Lucas form a vocal and harp duo inspired by the themes and
traditional songs of Lower Brittany. Passionate about music for dancing and listening,
their repertoire transports us to a rich and varied world: gwerzioù, sonioù, kan ha diskan and other dance and marching songs from Central Brittany and the
Vannes region. Since 2016, the two musicians have naturally developed a close bond and a sensitivity to their art that they love to share with their audience. Their years of collaboration and live performances have enabled them to build up a magnificent repertoire, which they present to their audience with elegance and virtuosity. Their debut album ‘Er vammenn’ was released in 2019 (Selaou & Coop Breizh). Both have won numerous awards for their vocal and harp performances (Kan ha diskan, Kan ar bobl, International Harp Festival…), and their latest album, *KANOUR NOZ*, created with double bassist Yann Le Bozec, was awarded first prize for a Breton-language vocal album at the Prizioù 2023 (France 3 Bretagne and the Office of the Breton Language).
