Description
Cyclists, pedestrians and motorists in Fouesnant: let’s get along!
Understanding each other better to share the road more effectively
A road safety awareness talk.
Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Every road user contributes, through their behaviour, to the quality and safety of everyone’s journeys. In recent years, modes of transport have evolved and new ways of getting about have emerged (bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, motorised personal mobility devices, etc.). This diversification of travel is making traffic more complex. There is increasing interaction between road users with different behaviours and needs.
Against this backdrop, the town of Fouesnant is organising a road safety talk on sharing the road on Wednesday 7 October at 6.00 pm at the Kerourgué community centre, led by the Vélo Club Fouesnantais.
Entitled ‘Cyclists, pedestrians and cars in Fouesnant: let’s get along! ”, the talk will be led by Bob Lann (a federally certified instructor with the French Cycling Federation, head of the Vélo Club Fouesnantais cycling school, and manager/trainer for the ‘Savoir rouler à vélo’ programme) and Joël Corbet (President of the Vélo Club Fouesnantais and departmental safety representative for CODEP 29 FFVélo).
The aim of the evening: to gain a better understanding of the rules, develop the right habits and learn how to share the road more effectively, so that everyone can get about safely, whatever their mode of transport.
On the road, understanding each other better means getting on better!
