To mark European Heritage Days on 19 and 20 September 2026, the 11 departmental estates and museums in Finistère are opening their doors to you free of charge. Castles and abbeys steeped in history, museums and collections, remarkable gardens… For two days, heritage, culture and nature take centre stage, with a programme of fun and sometimes unusual tours, talks and activities. On the programme at the Domaine de Squividan: Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September: - Guided tour: Once you’ve passed through the estate gates, a unique world opens up before you. Let us tell you the story of the manor house, the grounds and their illustrious inhabitants. Duration: 30 mins – Free Saturday 2.00 pm | 3.15 pm | 4.30 pm | Capacity: 20 people | No booking required Sunday 2.00 pm | 3.15 pm | Capacity: 20 people | No booking required - Self-guided tour A discovery booklet is available to help you explore the site at your own pace. The activity book invites you to engage with the temporary exhibition and create your own recipe using the ingredients immortalised by the manor’s two artists. Duration: Open continuously from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm – Free‎ - Walk Each season, an art trail takes place within the park. It features reproductions of works by Émile Simon and Madeleine Fié-Fieux and invites you on an evocative, artistic stroll. Open continuously from 1 pm to 6 pm – Free‎ - Storytelling A storytelling walk along the park’s winding paths to discover the true origin of the crêpe … Time: 4.00 pm | Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes | Capacity: 30 people - Free‎ Saturday 19 September: - Wooden spoon-making workshop A woodcarver will introduce you to the various methods used to make the wooden spoons once used daily by our ancestors, showing you how it was possible to create versatile utensils from a simple piece of wood. For all ages – Duration: 20 minutes – 6 people per workshop – Free‎ - Basket-weaving workshop Come and discover another workshop dedicated to a traditional craft: basket weaving. The workshop will cover the history of the plants used (wicker, rye, straw, oats, etc.) as well as the best methods for preparing them (growing, harvesting, storing, pre-treatment, etc.).
