#1 ERIS
7.30 pm: ERIS, the goddess of discord in Greek mythology. Three young people from Rennes (Mannaïg, Clément and Youn) drew inspiration from the symbolism of this figure to form their trio. They have chosen to use music to ward off the goddess’s fate, harmonising their personalities and instruments in the service of dance – a unifying force that brings people together across all differences. This trio champions and promotes the traditions of Upper Brittany by blending tunes from a traditional repertoire with the modernity of contemporary amplified music.
#2: DISKAR
9.00 pm: Diskar is a Breton folk band formed in 2020 and comprising three talented musicians: Gaël Lefevère on the bombarde and vocals, Yann Le Gall on acoustic guitar, and Laurent Dacquay on the violin and saz.
This purely acoustic trio possesses a wild and provocative energy that blends with the tenderness and gentleness of their melodies and vocals. The influences of these three companions are diverse and varied, blending sounds from the four corners of the globe. Diskar will undoubtedly take you on a journey into a poetic and imaginative world from the very first three bars!
