‘Le coin de l’oreille’ is a series of evening events organised by the Media Library and dedicated to exploring and discussing various themes and musical selections. Mowno: a media outlet championing new and independent music for 30 years Presentation and discussion with Stéphane Vidroc What role does an independent media outlet play in the music world? How does it operate? Mowno has featured and supported Fontaines DC, Viagra Boys, Courtney Barnett, Sleaford Mods, Amyl and the Sniffers… as well as all the lesser-known artists who are currently making waves in the independent music scene (indie rock/pop, folk, hip-hop, electronic, etc.) in France and around the world. Stéphane Vidroc has been writing album reviews and interviews (The Kills, Kevin Morby, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Bryan’s Magic Tears…) for Mowno since February 2023.
