Two FIDE-rated tournaments running in parallel: an A tournament open to players with an Elo rating of over 1500, and a B tournament reserved for players with an Elo rating of under 1600. 7 rounds at a slow time control of 1 hour 30 minutes (+30 seconds per move), officiated by Laurent Lecornu, Maïwenn Latruffe-Bossant and Pierre Lecuyer. Entries are limited to 100 places in the main tournament and 50 places in Tournament B! Schedule: Saturday 24 October: Registration and check-in until 2.00 pm Round 1: 2.30 pm, followed by a Blitz tournament at 7.30 pm Sunday 25 October: Round 2: 9.00 am Round 3: 2.30 pm Monday 26 October: Round 4: 2.00 pm Tuesday 27 October: Round 5: 9.00 am Round 6: 2.30 pm Wednesday 28 October: Round 7: 8.30 am Prize-giving ceremony around 1.30 pm You’ll be able to take a half-day’s rest using the ‘bye’ system, except for Rounds 6 and 7. You’ll score half a point. Ideal for resting, spending time with your family or visiting the seaside. Light refreshments and a refreshment bar are available on site at lunchtime and in the evening.
