This is the story of Nour, a child who grows up in the warm embrace of Youmna, her deaf foster mother. One day, everything changes: Nour must leave to join her biological mother, whom she has never met, in a distant country where girls are allowed to go to school. Thus begins a long journey – a clandestine one.
“Traversée” is a great love story. Through spoken words and sign language, it tells of the unique bond between little Nour and her carer, Youmna. It shows just how far a mother’s love for her daughter can go.
