Kiwifruit... it all started with a passion!
In 1968, the first fifty or so kiwifruit plants were planted out of passion. The good health of the plants led to an economic interest in their development.
With nine varieties, Vergers du Cap Coz quickly became the leading kiwifruit plantation in France. At first unsaleable because it was unknown at the time, the company surrounded itself with expertise and André LOZAC'HMEUR travelled as far as New Zealand to learn the best practices for this "tree of life" or yang tao as the Chinese say.
Fifty years later, Vergers du Cap Coz sells fresh kiwifruit to private individuals and local supermarkets. A thousand plants cover around two hectares.
The fruit is also processed in Saint Evarzec into nectars and jams, under the name Reine de Cornouaille. Here, an ultra-modern factory, a member of Produit en Bretagne, processes and markets fruit throughout Brittany and beyond.
Sweet, juicy fruit!
