Description
Bordered by pine trees, Cap-Coz beach embodies all the charm of the Fouesnant coastline, with its large expanse of fine sand ideal for family holidays. Facing due south, nestling at the head of the bay and protected from the wind by the Pointe de Beg-Meil, it offers a reassuring, bright setting, perfect for swimming and seaside activities.
It's the ideal place to enjoy the pleasures of surfing, whether you're a beginner or an expert. Le Dock, a seasonal annex of the Centre Nautique de Fouesnant Cornouaille, offers dinghy, catamaran and wingfoil lessons, as well as other activities such as water walking and elliptical paddle. Equipment can also be hired.
The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag label, guaranteeing excellent water quality and respect for the natural environment. In July and August, swimming is supervised by the SDIS du Finistère, ensuring the comfort and safety of summer visitors. The beach has access and facilities for disabled people, as well as nearby sanitary facilities.
Easily accessible by car thanks to the nearby car parks, by bike via the cycle paths and on foot via the GR34, the Pointe du Cap-Coz is an essential meeting place.
Very flat and safe, it's a family beach par excellence: perfect for enjoying the sea with the family or, at low tide, going in search of periwinkles or prawns.
It's also lined with bars and restaurants where you can have lunch facing the sea or enjoy a drink or snack on the terrace.
